Asterix comic book

Asterix is a world-renowned French comic book series created by René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo in 1959. Originally serialized in the magazine Pilote, the adventures of the indomitable Gauls have become a global cultural phenomenon. The brand's ownership has evolved over the decades. Originally published by Dargaud, the rights were eventually consolidated within Les Éditions Albert René. In 2008, the French publishing giant Hachette Livre acquired a majority stake in Les Éditions Albert René, eventually becoming the sole owner. Today, the brand is managed under the umbrella of the Lagardère Group, which is now a subsidiary of the global media conglomerate Vivendi. This structure ensures that Asterix remains a cornerstone of French literary heritage while benefiting from international distribution networks.
