Radisson Hotels (Radisson Group)

Radisson is a globally recognized hospitality brand with a legacy dating back to 1909 when the first Radisson Hotel opened in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Named after the French explorer Pierre-Esprit Radisson, the brand initially expanded under the Carlson Companies in the United States while establishing a strong European presence through a long-term master franchise agreement with SAS International Hotels.

Today, the brand operates under a dual structure regarding global ownership. The international operations (Radisson Hotel Group) are owned by a consortium led by Jin Jiang International, a state-owned enterprise in China. Meanwhile, the operations in the Americas were acquired by Choice Hotels International in 2022. Consequently, while the brand maintains a unified identity for travelers, its corporate governance and manufacturing (service delivery) occur across hundreds of countries under different parent corporations depending on the geographic region.
