STAR Il Mio Dado is an iconic Italian food product, famously known as the first bouillon cube produced in Italy starting in 1948. The brand was founded by Regolo Fossati in Muggiò and quickly became a staple in Italian kitchens for its ability to enhance domestic flavors easily and affordably.

Historically an Italian family business, STAR merged with the Spanish group GBfoods (formerly Gallina Blanca) in 2006. Today, the brand is wholly owned by GBfoods, a major international player in the culinary sector based in Spain. Despite the Spanish ownership, STAR maintains its production roots in Italy, specifically at the historic plant in Agrate Brianza, ensuring that the traditional Italian recipe and quality are preserved for the local market.
