Madshus Ski Equipment

Madshus is the world’s oldest ski manufacturer, originally founded by Martin Madshus in 1906 in Gjøvik, Norway. The brand is deeply rooted in Nordic skiing history and is famous for its high-performance cross-country skis, boots, and poles.

While production was historically exclusive to its factory in Biri, Norway, shifts in the sporting goods industry led to the brand's acquisition by international conglomerates. While top-tier racing skis continue to be manufactured at the Norwegian facility to maintain artisan quality, some mass-market products and accessories may be produced in other locations under the supervision of the parent company.

Currently, the brand is part of the K2 Sports portfolio, which is owned by Elevate Outdoor Collective. This ownership represents a global network of outdoor sporting brands, though Madshus maintains its unique identity and design heritage in Norway.
