The brand has undergone significant corporate shifts in recent years. While it continues to operate major production facilities in Slovenia and Serbia, the ultimate ownership has moved to Hisense, a Chinese multinational electronics manufacturer. This acquisition has integrated Gorenje into a global network, allowing the brand to leverage Hisense's technological scale while maintaining its traditional European design sensibility and regional manufacturing hubs.
