The Philips Air Purifier Series 4200 (Model AC4221/11) is a high-performance air filtration device designed for internal environments. While the Philips brand originated in the Netherlands over a century ago as a lighting company, the consumer electronics and domestic appliances division has undergone significant changes in ownership.

Starting in 2021, the Philips Domestic Appliances business was sold to Hillhouse Capital, a global investment firm, and was subsequently rebranded as Versuni. Versuni operates under a long-term brand license from Royal Philips. Although the brand remains synonymous with Dutch innovation and engineering, the actual manufacturing of these specific air purification units primarily takes place in China, which serves as a central hub for Versuni's global production lines.
