Kellerei Girlan Blauschürzler red wine

Blauschürzler is a traditional red wine produced by Kellerei Girlan (Cantina Girlan), a renowned cooperative winery located in the South Tyrol (Alto Adige) region of Northern Italy. The wine is named after the 'Blauschürzler' – the traditional blue apron worn by South Tyrolean farmers and winemakers.

The product is authentically produced in Appiano (Eppan), Italy, within the winery's own facilities. Kellerei Girlan was founded in 1923 by a group of 23 winegrowers and remains a cooperative today. It is owned and managed by approximately 200 member families who cultivate about 220 hectares of vineyards. This ownership structure ensures that the production remains deeply rooted in local tradition and regional heritage.
