Vachon is an iconic Canadian snack brand with deep roots in Sainte-Marie-de-Beauce, Quebec. Founded in 1923 by Arcadius and Rose-Anna Vachon, the bakery became a staple of Canadian culture, known for producing beloved treats like Jos Louis and May West.

Today, Vachon brownies are produced in Canada, maintaining the brand's heritage as a Quebecois favorite. While the brand remains distinctly Canadian in its identity and manufacturing, its ownership has transitioned through several large corporations. Currently, Vachon is owned by Grupo Bimbo, a colossal multinational food company based in Mexico. Within Canada, the brand is managed under the Bimbo Canada subsidiary, formerly known as Canada Bread. This acquisition by Grupo Bimbo provided the local brand with the resources of the world's largest baking company while continuing its long-standing tradition of producing snack cakes for the North American market.
