Bolten Alt beer

Bolten Alt is a traditional top-fermented beer produced by Privatbrauerei Bolten, which is recognized as the oldest Altbier brewery in the world, dating back to 1266. The beer is brewed according to the German Purity Law (Reinheitsgebot) using water, barley malt, wheat malt, and hop extract.

The brand remains independent and is historically rooted in Korschenbroich, Germany. Since 2005, the brewery has been led by Michael Hollmann, though the Kraushaar family remains involved. It is a quintessential representative of regional German brewing heritage, maintaining local production at its historical site in the Lower Rhine region.
