Milka is one of the world's most recognizable chocolate brands, originally founded in Switzerland in 1901 by Philippe Suchard. The brand is famous for its distinctive lilac packaging and the Simmental cow logo, emphasizing the use of 100% Alpine milk. Over more than a century, the brand has grown from a local Swiss confectioner into a global powerhouse.

While the brand has Swiss roots, the majority of its production now takes place in Lörrach, Germany, and Bludenz, Austria. Ownership has shifted several times through major corporate mergers; it was part of Suchard-Tobler, then Kraft Foods, and finally became a core brand of Mondelēz International. Today, Mondelēz manages the brand's extensive global footprint, ensuring it remains a market leader in the European chocolate industry.
