Helly Hansen is a legendary Norwegian brand founded in 1877 by sea captain Helly Juell Hansen. The brand began by producing oilskin jackets, trousers, and tarpaulins made from coarse linen soaked in linseed oil to protect sailors from the harsh Nordic elements. Over the decades, it pioneered innovations such as the HELLY TECH® waterproof and breathable membrane, as well as the world's first fleece and technical base layers.
