Erima Sportswear

Erima is a historic German sporting goods brand known for its specialized focus on team sports. Founded in 1900 by Remigius Wehrstein in Reutlingen, the company initially produced knitwear before evolving into a leading provider of athletic apparel and equipment. For decades, Erima was remarkably prominent in German sports history, notably serving as the official outfitter for the German Olympic teams between 1960 and 1972 and providing kits for the West German national football team during their 1974 World Cup victory.

From 1976 to 2005, the brand was owned by the global sportswear giant Adidas. However, in 2005, Wolfram Holle, who had been a managing director, led a management buyout to return Erima to independent ownership. Today, the brand is headquartered in Pfullingen, Germany. While the design, engineering, and administrative operations are centered in Germany, manufacturing is carried out through a global network of specialized suppliers, primarily in Asia and Europe, to maintain high technical standards for professional athletics.
