Camel Blue (formerly Camel Lights) cigarettes

Camel is one of the world's most iconic cigarette brands, originally introduced by the R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company in 1913. It revolutionized the industry by being the first brand to be sold in pre-sealed packs and utilized a signature blend of Turkish and American tobaccos, known as the 'American Blend.' The 'Lights' variant was rebranded to 'Camel Blue' in many markets to comply with packaging regulations regarding health descriptors.

Today, the ownership and manufacturing of Camel are split geographically. Within the United States, the brand is owned and manufactured by R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company, which is a subsidiary of Reynolds American Inc., a company ultimately owned by the London-based British American Tobacco. Outside of the United States, the rights to the Camel brand were sold to Japan Tobacco Inc. (JT) in 1999. Consequently, international versions of the product are managed by JT International (JTI), which operates manufacturing facilities in various global locations including Germany, Poland, and Turkey.
