Polo is a world-renowned brand of peppermint sweets characterized by its iconic 'mint with the hole' design. Launched in the United Kingdom in 1948 by Rowntree's, the product was inspired by Life Savers in the United States. Its name is derived from 'polar,' evoking a sensation of coolness and freshness that the mints provide. Today, it remains one of the most recognizable candy brands globally.

Following the acquisition of Rowntree's by Nestlé in 1988, the brand moved under the umbrella of the Swiss multinational. While its primary manufacturing base has historically been in York, UK, Polo is distributed and manufactured in various international markets to meet regional demand. Nestlé continues to oversee the brand's production and marketing, ensuring its status as a staple in the confectionery market.
