Gatorade Apple sports drink

Gatorade was originally developed in 1965 by a team of scientists at the University of Florida College of Medicine for the school's football team, the Gators. The beverage was designed to replenish carbohydrates and electrolytes lost through sweat during intense physical activity. Following its success in the sports world, it became a massive commercial product.

In 1983, the brand was acquired by the Quaker Oats Company, which was later purchased by PepsiCo in 2001. Today, PepsiCo manages Gatorade as one of its flagship global brands. While the brand is American by origin, it is produced in numerous countries worldwide to meet local demand, including Mexico, where it is a staple in the hydration category.
