Venco Schoolkrijt is a classic Dutch confectionery item, famously known for its unique shape spanning back decades. Over more than a century, it transitioned from a local pharmacy-based sweets manufacturer into the leading liquorice brand in the Netherlands. Today, Venco is owned by Cloetta, a prominent Swedish confectionery company that manages several historic European candy brands. While the brand is Swedish-owned, the production remains deeply rooted in the Netherlands, specifically at the factory in Sneek, ensuring its authentic Dutch character is preserved for consumers worldwide.
