Loacker is an iconic Italian brand synonymous with high-quality wafer and chocolate specialties. Founded in 1925 by Alfons Loacker, the brand originated as a small pastry shop in Bolzano, South Tyrol, Italy. Over the decades, it has evolved into a world-renowned name while maintaining its deep roots in the Alpine region.
Manufacturing takes place primarily in the heart of the Dolomites at two sites: Auna di Sotto (South Tyrol, Italy) and Heinfels (East Tyrol, Austria). This strategic location allows the brand to use pure mountain water and fresh alpine air in its production process. The brand is celebrated for its commitment to natural ingredients, avoiding hydrogenated fats and artificial flavorings.
The Loacker brand remains a family-owned enterprise. It is currently managed by the third generation of the Loacker family through the parent company A. Loacker S.p.A. This independent ownership ensures that the company maintains its long-standing traditions and standards of quality without the influence of large multi-national conglomerates.
