Mini Fras is a popular Scandinavian healthy breakfast cereal characterized by its small, animal-shaped pillows made from whole-grain oats and corn. Originally launched under the Quaker brand, it has a long history in Northern Europe where it is recognized for its high fiber content and "Keyhole" (Nøglehulsmærket) certification, indicating a healthier food choice.
Historically part of The Quaker Oats Company (an American firm founded in 1877), the brand became part of PepsiCo in 2001 after it acquired Quaker. However, in June 2020, the Norwegian conglomerate Orkla ASA strategically acquired the Havrefras brand family—including Rug Fras and Mini Fras—from PepsiCo to bolster its portfolio of healthy breakfast products in the Nordic region.
Today, Mini Fras is managed by Orkla Foods, with its primary manufacturing roots and market focus remaining in Denmark and the broader Scandinavian area. The brand continues to be a staple in Danish, Swedish, and Norwegian households, specifically marketed for children's nutrition.
