Rama vegetable spread

Rama is one of Germany's most recognized food brands, originating as a margarine product in 1924. Originally created by the Dutch company Margarine Unie (which merged to become Unilever), the brand was synonymous with family breakfasts for decades. In 2018, as part of a strategic shift, Unilever sold its entire spreads division to the US-based private equity firm KKR. This moved the brand under the umbrella of Upfield, a global leader in plant-based spreads and cheeses. Today, Rama continues to be produced in various European facilities while maintaining its strong heritage in the DACH region.
