Ovomaltine (Ovaltine) powder drink

Ovomaltine, known in many markets as Ovaltine, is a historical Swiss brand developed in 1904 by Dr. Albert Wander. Originally created as a nutritional supplement to combat malnutrition, it became famous for its unique blend of barley malt, cocoa, and whey.

Today, the brand's ownership is split geographically. The Swiss brand and the rights to manufacture and sell it within Europe remain with Wander AG, which is a subsidiary of Associated British Foods (ABF). However, in 2002, Novartis sold the international rights for the rest of the world (including the Americas and Asia) to Nestlé. This means that while ABF controls the brand in its home continent, Nestlé manages the global expansion and production in other major regions.
