Tyrrells is a renowned British brand of hand-cooked potato crisps that originated in 2002 on Tyrrells Court Farm in Herefordshire, England. The brand was founded by William Chase with a focus on artisanal quality, using locally grown potatoes and traditional frying methods to achieve their signature thick-cut crunch.
Over the years, Tyrrells has seen several changes in ownership. It was first sold to Langholm Capital in 2008, then to Investcorp in 2013, and later to the American company Amplify Snack Brands in 2016. In 2018, the brand reached its current corporate destination when KP Snacks, a subsidiary of the German conglomerate Intersnack Group, acquired Amplify's UK business. Today, Tyrrells remains a staple of British snack aisles, continuing its manufacture primarily at its historic site in Herefordshire and other UK facilities under the stewardship of the Intersnack Group.
