Rossignol skis

Rossignol is an iconic French heritage brand that has been a cornerstone of the skiing world since its founding in 1907. Founded by Abel Rossignol in Voiron, Isère, the company began as a workshop producing wood products before revolutionizing the industry with wood and eventually fiberglass and metal ski constructions.

Today, the manufacturing process is centralized in Europe, with major production facilities located in Sallanches, France, and Artés, Spain. Some components and specific lines are also manufactured in Ukraine. This European supply chain allows the brand to maintain high standards for competitive racing and recreational skiing equipment.

Over the decades, the brand has transitioned from family ownership to global corporate structures. Following acquisition by Quiksilver in 2005 and several subsequent investment changes, it is currently the flagship brand of the Rossignol Group. The group is controlled by the investment firm Alantra, ensuring the brand remains headquartered in the French Alps while expanding its global portfolio to include other outdoor sports brands like Dynastar, Lange, and Look.
