Bionade Naturtrübe Orange

Bionade is a pioneering German organic soft drink brand, famously invented in 1994 by Dieter Leipold in Ostheim vor der Rhön. Unlike traditional sodas, Bionade is produced through the fermentation of water and malt using a biological process similar to beer brewing, but with a patented method that produces gluconic acid instead of alcohol.

The brand gained cult status in the early 2000s as a healthier, organic alternative to mass-market sodas. Today, it remains rooted in its original production site in Bavaria. Since 2018, Bionade has been part of the Hassia Group (HassiaGruppe), a large family-run German beverage enterprise, which acquired the brand from the Radeberger Group.
