Conservas Albo is one of Spain's most historic and prestigious canning companies. Founded in 1869 by Carlos Albo Kay in Santoña, Cantabria, the brand began by producing salted and pickled fish. Over the following century, it expanded its operations and moved its headquarters to Vigo, Galicia, becoming a leader in the premium canned tuna, sardine, and octopus market.

In 2016, the brand underwent a significant ownership change when it was acquired by the Chinese group Shanghai Kaichuang Marine International. This acquisition integrated Albo into a massive global fishing and logistics network, while maintaining the brand's production facilities in Spain to preserve its traditional quality and 'Denomination of Origin' appeal. Today, Albo operates several factories in the Galicia region, ensuring that the manufacturing process remains rooted in Spanish maritime expertise.
