Severin is a long-standing German brand that has become synonymous with high-quality electrical household appliances. Founded in 1892 as a small blacksmith shop, the company evolved over decades to become a pioneer in the small domestic appliance market, eventually focusing on electrical kitchen tools and coffee machines.

While the brand maintains its headquarters, design excellence, and quality control in Germany, the majority of its production has shifted to modern manufacturing facilities in China and other Asian locations to maintain global competitiveness. However, several of its premium product lines and high-end components are still manufactured at their original site in Sundern, Germany.

Ownership of the brand remains private and stable. Since early 2015, the Knauf family (associated with the Knauf Group) has held a majority stake in the company, ensuring the brand retains its German heritage and strategic independence within the global electronics market.
