Schweppes Original Lemon soft drink

Schweppes is one of the world's oldest soft drink brands, founded in 1783 by Jacob Schweppe in Geneva, Switzerland. Jacob Schweppe was the first to develop a process to manufacture carbonated mineral water on a commercial scale. The brand eventually moved to London, which became its center of operation and brand identity. Today, Schweppes is produced globally through various licensing agreements.

Ownership of Schweppes is highly complex and regional. In the context of the European market, particularly in Denmark where the accompanying product (Bähncke mustard) suggests the image was taken, the brand is owned by Suntory Beverage & Food Europe through its subsidiary Schweppes Holdings Limited. However, in the United States, it is owned by Keurig Dr Pepper, and in many other regions, The Coca-Cola Company holds the rights to the brand and handles production and distribution.
