Morrisons, officially Wm Morrison Supermarkets Limited, is one of the largest supermarket chains in the United Kingdom. Founded by William Morrison in 1899, the company began as an egg and butter stall in Bradford, England. In October 2021, Morrisons underwent a significant ownership change when it was acquired by the American private equity firm Clayton, Dubilier & Rice (CD&R).
