MOMA (Making Oats More Awesome) was founded in 2006 by Tom Mercer in a converted filing cabinet under a railway arch in South London. Initially starting as a breakfast kiosk selling oats to commuters, the brand has grown into a major producer of oat-based products, including porridge, oat milk, and granola.
In 2021, the global soft drink giant A.G. Barr acquired a 60% stake in the company, eventually moving toward full ownership in late 2022. While the brand maintains its headquarters in London and focuses on British-grown oats for its products, it is now fully supported by the distribution and financial backing of the Scottish-based A.G. Barr group.
