The ThinkPad is one of the most iconic brands in the computing world, originally conceived by IBM in the early 1990s at their Yamato Design Center in Japan. Known for their robust build quality and the signature red TrackPoint, ThinkPads became a staple of business computing.

In 2005, the brand underwent a significant transition when the Chinese technology giant Lenovo acquired IBM's Personal Computing Division.
