Rūta is a historic Lithuanian confectionery brand with a legacy dating back to 1913, when Antanas Gricevičius founded a small candy workshop in Šiauliai. The brand is named after the rue plant, a national symbol of Lithuania, reflecting its deep cultural roots. For over a century, Rūta has maintained its reputation for high-quality chocolates and traditional recipes, surviving various historic shifts in the region.

Today, the brand remains a family-owned enterprise, with the Gricevičius family still involved in its leadership. The manufacturing process is concentrated in its historic headquarters in Šiauliai, Lithuania, where it also operates a chocolate museum.
