La Chouffe 0.4% is an alcohol-free version of the world-famous Belgian blonde ale produced by Brasserie d'Achouffe. Known for its iconic gnome mascot, Marcel, the brand originated in 1982 in the small village of Achouffe in the Belgian Ardennes. It was founded by brothers-in-law Pierre Gobron and Christian Bauweraerts as a hobby project that grew into an international success.

In 2006, the brewery was acquired by Duvel Moortgat, a historic family-owned brewery group based in Breendonk, Belgium. While part of a larger group, the beer is still brewed in its original location in the Ardennes to maintain its specific character and heritage. Duvel Moortgat remains the ultimate owner, operating as a primary player in the global specialty beer market.
