The Marshall MS-2 is a portable micro guitar amplifier designed to replicate the classic aesthetic of Marshall's full-sized stacks. Founded in 1962 by Jim Marshall in London, the brand has become synonymous with rock music and high-gain amplification. While the company's premium valve amplifiers are traditionally made in Bletchley, England, portable and battery-powered units like the MS-2 series are manufactured in Vietnam to ensure global affordability.

In a major industry shift in 2023, Marshall Amplification was acquired by the Zound Industries, a Swedish audio company that had previously held the license for Marshall-branded headphones and speakers. The resulting entity, known as the Marshall Group, now manages the entire brand portfolio. The brand continues to maintain its design heritage while expanding its footprint in consumer audio electronics.
