Felix Smörgåsgurka

Felix Smörgåsgurka is a iconic Swedish pantry staple consisting of sliced pickled cucumbers in a sweet and sour brine. The cucumbers used in Felix products are primarily grown in the southern Swedish region of Scania (Skåne), and the pickling process traditionally takes place in Eslöv, Sweden.

The brand Felix was founded in 1939 by Herbert Felix, who escaped the Nazi occupation of Czechoslovakia and brought his family's pickling expertise to Sweden. Today, Felix is one of Sweden's most recognized food brands. Since 1995, it has been owned by Orkla, a Norwegian industrial conglomerate that acquired the parent company Procordia Food. Orkla continues to manage Felix as a key heritage brand within its Nordic portfolio.
