fit Lemon dishwashing liquid

Fit is a historic German brand of dishwashing liquid, originally developed in East Germany (GDR) in the early 1950s. It was first produced at the VEB Fettchemie Karl-Marx-Stadt factory. Interestingly, while the brand reached cult status in the East, it survived the German reunification and successfully transitioned into a modern market brand.

The product is manufactured in Hirschfelde (Zittau), Germany, by the fit GmbH. Unlike many heritage brands that were acquired by large multinational conglomerates after the fall of the Berlin Wall, Fit was eventually acquired by Dr. Klaus-Dieter Grossmann in a management buy-out in 1993. Since then, it has remained an independent, medium-sized family-owned German company, expanding its portfolio to include other household cleaning brands like Rei and Coral.
