Salus bottled water

Salus is the most iconic mineral water brand in Uruguay, with its history dating back to the late 19th century in the Minas region. The water is sourced from the Sierra de la Coronilla, a protected area in the Lavalleja Department known for its unique natural purity and volcanic rock filtration.

While the brand had humble beginnings as a local health source, it was acquired by the French multinational Danone in 1997. Today, Salus maintains a dominant market share in Uruguay and is manufactured locally at its historic plant in Minas. Danone, headquartered in Paris, oversees the brand's sustainability initiatives and distribution while preserving the heritage of the Salus brand as a national symbol of health for the Uruguayan people.
