Oral-B is a globally recognized leader in oral hygiene, particularly known for its range of toothbrushes and toothpastes like the 3D White Advanced line. The brand was founded in 1950 in the United States by Dr. Robert W. Hutson, a California periodontist who designed the first multi-tufted, soft nylon-bristle toothbrush.
Over the decades, the brand's ownership evolved through significant corporate mergers. It was initially acquired by Gillette in 1984. In 2005, The Procter & Gamble Company (P&G) acquired Gillette, bringing Oral-B into its vast portfolio of consumer goods. Today, Oral-B products are manufactured in multiple locations worldwide, including Germany, the United States, and China, to support its massive global distribution network as a flagship brand under P&G's healthcare umbrella.
