Fürstenberg is one of Germany's most historic breweries, with a heritage dating back to 1283 when the counts of Fürstenberg were granted the right to brew beer in Donaueschingen. The brand is deeply rooted in the Black Forest region and is renowned for its high-quality brewing standards, having once been designated the 'Court Beverage' by Emperor Wilhelm II.
While the brewery maintains its traditional production site in Donaueschingen, its corporate ownership has evolved. Since 2005, the brewery has been part of the Paulaner Brewery Group. This group is a joint venture that centralizes several major German beer brands to compete on a global scale while maintaining the regional identity and technical craftsmanship of each individual local brewery.
