Puget is one of France's most iconic olive oil brands, founded in Marseille in 1857 by Adolphe Puget. Originally focusing on the export of olive oil from the Mediterranean, it has grown to become the leading olive oil brand in the French market.

While the brand is deeply rooted in French culinary history, the manufacturing process involves sourcing olives from various Mediterranean countries. Most Puget ‘Classique’ blends consist of high-quality oils harvested from Tunisia and Spain to ensure consistency in taste, which are then blended and bottled in France at their facility in Vitrolles.

Ownership of the brand has changed several times over the decades. Having previously been owned by Unilever, the brand was acquired in 2004 by the Spanish group Deoleo (formerly SOS Cuétara). As of 2026, Puget remains a flagship brand in the Deoleo portfolio, which is one of the world's largest olive oil producers.
