Drunk Elephant is a high-end skincare brand that gained massive popularity for its 'clean clinical' approach to beauty. Founded by Tiffany Masterson in Houston, Texas, the brand launched in 2013 with a philosophy of excluding the 'Suspicious 6'—essential oils, drying alcohols, silicones, chemical sunscreens, fragrances/dyes, and SLS—from its formulations. The brand's rise was fueled by its vibrant packaging and effective ingredient-focused products.

In 2019, the brand was acquired in a major deal by the Japanese beauty giant Shiseido. Despite the acquisition, Drunk Elephant continues to formulate its products with a focus on biocompatibility and pH levels.
