Morphe Cosmetics

Morphe, originally known as Morphe Brushes, was founded in Los Angeles in 2008 by Chris and Linda Tawil. The brand initially catered to professional makeup artists by offering high-quality brushes at affordable prices, before expanding into a full range of color cosmetics including their famous eyeshadow palettes and lip products.

Over the years, the company underwent significant corporate restructuring. After a period of ownership by Forma Brands (which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy), Morphe was acquired by a group of lenders following a restructuring process. Today, the brand is owned by a consortium of investment firms including Jefferies Finance LLC and Cerberus Capital Management. These entities oversee the brand's global operations and distribution.

While the brand was conceived in the United States, its manufacturing is distributed internationally. Most products are manufactured in China, though certain formulations and tools may be sourced from other regions depending on the specific product line. Despite changes in corporate ownership, Morphe remains a staple in the beauty industry, known for its influencer collaborations and professional-grade accessibility.
