Marshall Amplification

Marshall is one of the most iconic names in the music industry, recognized globally for its high-performance guitar amplifiers and consumer audio products. Founded in 1962 by Jim Marshall in London, the brand became the hallmark of rock and roll, providing the signature sound for legendary artists. While the high-end, vintage-reissue, and flagship valve amplifiers are still handcrafted in the Marshall factory in Bletchley, Milton Keynes, UK, the majority of the consumer electronics and entry-level amplifiers are manufactured through global partnerships in Asia.

In recent years, the brand underwent a significant structural shift in ownership. For a long time, the consumer side of the business (headphones and speakers) was licensed to Zound Industries, a Swedish company. In 2023, Zound Industries officially acquired Marshall Amplification from the Marshall family to form the Marshall Group. This merger unified the traditional amplifier manufacturing and the modern consumer audio segments under a single entity, ensuring the brand's long-term evolution while maintaining its heritage in sound engineering.
