Pringles is an iconic brand of potato and wheat-based snacks, originally developed by Procter & Gamble in the United States during the 1960s to address consumer complaints about broken chips and air in bags. The brand is famous for its unique hyperbolic paraboloid shape and its signature cylindrical canister packaging.
In 2012, the brand was acquired by Kellogg's, which later spun off its snacking division into a new independent company called Kellanova in 2023. As of late 2024 and heading into 2026, the brand has transitioned into the portfolio of Mars, Incorporated, following one of the largest acquisitions in the food industry.
While the brand originated in the USA, it is now a truly global product manufactured in multiple locations worldwide, including major facilities in the United States, Belgium (Mechelen), Malaysia, and Poland (Kutno), to serve various regional markets.
