Nespresso Altissio Decaffeinato is a coffee pod specifically designed for the Nespresso Vertuo system. The brand Nespresso was created in 20th-century Switzerland by Nestlé engineer Eric Favre, who patented the first Nespresso system in 1976.

Today, Nespresso is a globally recognized subsidiary of Nestlé S.A., the world's largest food and beverage company. All Nespresso coffee pods, including the Vertuo range, are exclusively manufactured in Switzerland across several production centers such as Orbe, Avenches, and Romont.
