DSB Rail Transport Service

DSB (Danske Statsbaner) is the largest train operating company in Denmark. It is a state-owned enterprise responsible for passenger train operations on most of the Danish railways. The brand represents the long-standing history of Danish rail travel, dating back to its foundation in the late 19th century.

While the trains and infrastructure components may be manufactured by international partners (such as Alstom or Siemens), the service and brand are fundamentally Danish. DSB remains under the ownership of the Danish Ministry of Transport, ensuring that the rail network serves as a public utility for the nation. It provides various services including InterCity, Regional, and S-train services in the Copenhagen area.
