The water is sourced from the King's Spring (Kong Olav Vs kilde) in Larvik, Norway, where it undergoes a natural filtration process through glacial moraine layers, taking approximately 20 years to reach the source.

The 'Bris' product line was launched as a more lightly carbonated version of the original Farris water to appeal to consumers seeking a milder sparkling experience. Today, the brand is owned by Ringnes AS, which is Norway's largest brewery. Ringnes is, in turn, a primary subsidiary of the Danish multinational Carlsberg Group, ensuring that this traditional Norwegian product has the backing of one of the world's leading brewery groups.
