Moritz 7 Lager Especial

Moritz is a symbolic beer brand deeply rooted in Barcelona's history. Founded in 1856 by Louis Moritz Trautmann, an Alsatian immigrant, it became the first industrial brewery in Barcelona. The brand is famous for its historical connection to the city's culture and its iconic production site, the Fàbrica Moritz Barcelona in the Sant Antoni neighborhood. Moritz 7, featured in the image, is a premium 'Lager Especial' made with 100% malt.

After closing its doors in 1978 due to the oil crisis, the brand was successfully relaunched in 2004 by the founding family's descendants. Today, it is owned and operated by Cervezas Moritz S.A., which is part of the larger Agora Group (Grupo Agora). While some specialty batches are brewed at the microbrewery in Barcelona for local consumption, larger commercial production is primarily carried out in the group's manufacturing facilities within Spain to meet wide distribution demands. The brand remains privately held by the Roehrich family through the Agora corporate structure.
