GlobalG.A.P. Food Safety Certification

GLOBALG.A.P. is a globally recognized set of agricultural standards dedicated to Good Agricultural Practices (G.A.P.). It is not a physical 'product' manufactured in a single factory, but rather a certification system implemented by farms and production facilities in over 130 countries. The initiative helps ensure food safety, sustainability, and worker welfare in the production of crops, livestock, and aquaculture.

Originally established as EUREPGAP in the late 1990s by European retail chains, it was renamed GLOBALG.A.P. in 2007 to reflect its worldwide expansion. The system is governed by a non-profit organization that facilitates collaboration between producers and retailers to maintain high-quality agricultural standards across the global supply chain.
