Cruzcampo Lager Beer

Cruzcampo is one of Spain’s most iconic and best-selling beer brands. Founded in Seville in 1904 by the Osborne brothers, it takes its name from the 'Cruz del Campo' (Cross of the Field), a temple located next to the original brewery. The brand has become a staple of Spanish culture, particularly in Andalusia, where it remains the market leader and a symbol of local heritage.

While originally an independent family-owned operation, the brand underwent several ownership changes during the late 20th century, including a period under Guinness (Diageo). Since 2000, Cruzcampo has been part of the Heineken N.V. portfolio. It is primarily brewed in massive facilities located in Seville, Madrid, Valencia, and Jaén, maintaining a strictly local production footprint within Spain to serve the domestic and international markets.

Today, Cruzcampo operates as a subsidiary of Heineken España. It continues to innovate with various styles, including its traditional Pilsen, alcohol-free versions, and specialized craft-style lagers, all while staying connected to its southern Spanish roots.
