Founded in 1930 in East Aurora, New York, Fisher-Price was established by Herman Fisher, Irving Price, Margaret Evans Price, and Helen Schelle. The brand initially focused on durable wooden toys, building a reputation for safety and educational value that has lasted for over 90 years. During its early years, the company survived the Great Depression, eventually becoming a household name in the nursery and preschool toy market.

In 1993, Fisher-Price was acquired by Mattel, Inc., cementing its position as a global leader in play and development. Today, while the brand's design and engineering centers remain largely in the United States, manufacturing is distributed globally to meet demand, with significant production centers located in China, Mexico, and Indonesia. As a subsidiary of Mattel, Fisher-Price continues to innovate with its 'Smart Stages' technology and iconic lines like 'Little People' and 'Laugh & Learn'.
