Patrón Tequila

Patrón Tequila is a premium brand of tequila produced in Mexico and crafted from 100% Weber Blue Agave. The brand was founded in 1989 by John Paul DeJoria and Martin Crowley, who aimed to create a 'top-shelf' tequila that would appeal to the premium spirits market. Every bottle of Patrón is produced at the Hacienda Patrón distillery in Jalisco, Mexico, where the process involves traditional methods like the Tahona wheel alongside modern techniques.

In 2018, the global spirits giant Bacardi Limited completed an acquisition of Patrón Spirits International, making Patrón a core brand within the Bacardi portfolio. This acquisition consolidated Patrón's position as a global leader in the luxury spirit category, benefiting from Bacardi's extensive international distribution network. Today, while it remains rooted in its Mexican craftsmanship, the brand is managed under the umbrella of one of the world's largest privately held spirits companies headquartered in Bermuda.
